Getting Around

Getting Here

Please see our Getting Here page for a map of our location as well as detailed information on how to get to our condo.  If you are taking the shuttle, tha Shadow Run bus stop is just past the edge of the parking lot.  Its visible through the living room sliding door assuming there isn’t too much snow piled up!

Steamboat Resort

Even if you have a vehicle, we recommend using the free shuttle service to get the the resort.  To get there, board any bus.  Depart at the Gondola Transit Center.  Most riders will exit here.  Ride time is approximately 5 minutes.

To return to the condo, you have two options.   For the quickest return, board the Green Line at the Gondola Transit Center and depart at Trappeur’s Crossing.  This will be the third announcement.  The bus does not stop automatically so be sure to indicate your stop.  From here, walk to the stop sign and you will see the Shadow Run complex across the road to your right.  The walk back to the condo is about two blocks.  It can be a bit tough after heavy snow storms but is usually passable.

If you don’t mind a longer shuttle ride, you can take either the Green or Orange Line from the Gondola Transit Center.  Depart at the Shadow Run stop.  Both buses almost always stop at Shadow Run but be sure to indicate you want to stop to be absolutely sure.  Ride time on both lines are about 15 minutes.

Downtown

The quickest way to town is by personal vehicle.  Parking is usually easy to find and mostly free.  However, if you don’t have a vehicle or don’t want to drive, the free shuttle is a great option.

Board any bus and depart at the Gondola Transit Center.  From here, board either the Blue or Red Lines.  Both will get you to downtown in about 10 to 15 minutes.

To return, again board either the Blue or Red Lines (you’ll want to be sure they are heading east) back to the Gondola Transit Center.  From there, follow the directions under Steamboat Resort to return to the condo.

Hot Springs

There are two hot springs to choose from in Steamboat–Old Town Hot Springs and Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs.

Old Town Hot Springs is easy to get to as it is located in downtown.  To get there, follow the above directions for Downtown and exit at the 3rd and Lincoln stop.  From there is will be across the road.

Strawberry Park is outside of town but definitely worth the trip.  Unfortunately, the free shuttle does not go there.  If you have a car, you can make the drive in about 25 minutes.  The road is not paved it its entirely and can be very rough during any season.  However, most passenger cars can make it if there is no mud or snow.  During the winter, four-wheel or all-wheel drive is highly recommended and often required.

Strawberry Park does offer shuttle service to their springs.  Please see their site for more information.
